Psychiatric Consultation

The Birmingham office has the services of a psychiatrist who sees our referrals at the CFS office. We provide these services for half a day, one day a month.

Our consulting psychiatrist will do a complete evaluation and offer treatment to address problems with depression and anxiety. Often this treatment takes the form of medications to go along with the individual counseling the person is receiving from the CFS social worker.

It is believed that individuals profit the most from the combined treatment of medication and individual counseling.

Services are funded by Hill Crest Foundation, Inc.

It is required that clients establish a relationship with a staff social worker before a referral can be made to the psychiatrist. Clients must keep regularly scheduled appointments with their social worker and psychiatrist.
